Chris’s 86 Chevy C10 Featured

  • Make and Model: '86 Chevy C10

Why My Truck? The funny thing about my 1986 Chevy C10 is that is was not the type of truck I was looking for. I knew I definitely wanted a pickup but was really looking for a 4 wheel drive and in the 90’s to early 2000’s Chevy. I have always been a Chevy fan ever since my first car, 1967 Chevelle. I was surfing Craigslist and stumbled upon this 1986 Chevy C10 long bed pickup. I kept it in the back of my mind but then kept looking as it was a 2WD. After searching and searching this one kept popping up in my feed so I said let me go look. She was spray painted black and had only a seat on the inside no dash or anything. I fired it up and she sounded beautiful. Brand new dual custom exhaust and the motor was solid and shifted great. I took the plunge and could not have been any happier.

Got her home. I immediately began by pulling apart what was left of the interior and started digging through the hack job of a wiring in there. I found a couple of donor trucks online and went a pulled some interior pieces out of a suburban and another C10. I painted the interior pieces and spent winter getting a basic interior together and really the fundamentals working. I then wanted the outside looking good, and I promised my wife that I would not have an eye sore in the driveway so i got her stripped down and painted all black. Now I had a good looking Chevy C10 but need custom. I did not just want it to look stock so I have been adding some custom pieces as in new rear bumper, grill and other custom parts. She is a work in progress but I love it. It is addicting and I cannot wait to go to next level. The motor is solid and has some quality custom parts on it. I will continue to clean her up and now take interior from just there to Everyday Extreme. There is more to come from this truck. Can’t wait to share.
